Vinayagar Chaturthi, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a significant Hindu festival .honoring Lord Ganesha. The remover of obstacles and god of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings. This vibrant celebration is observed on the fourth day of the waxing moon in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada, which typically falls in August or September.
The Birth of Ganesha: Goddess Parvati created Ganesha from turmeric paste to guard her home while she bathed. When Lord Shiva returned, Ganesha blocked his entry, unaware of his father’s identity. Shiva beheaded Ganesha, but later revived him with an elephant’s head.

- In Goa, it’s celebrated as Chavath or Parab, with unique rituals and offerings
